Christian Science Lectures

Did you know?

The Christian Science Board of Lectureship was established by Mary Baker Eddy in 1898 to meet the rapidly growing interest in her discovery of the Science of Christ-healing. The world has undergone enormous changes in the past 100 years. Yet Christian Science is as relevant today as it was in 1898 or even in 30 AD when Jesus demonstrated the healing power of God, taught it to his disciples, and sent them out to preach to others and to “heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons.”

As interest in spirituality and the relation of prayer to health has grown in recent years, the influence of Mary Baker Eddy’s life work continues to have much to offer to this rapidly developing field of study. However, Christian Science is frequently either ignored, misunderstood, or confused with what it is not. There is an ongoing need to counter the spread of misinformation by engaging public thought in a consideration of what Christian Science really is, its relation to the Bible, and how it applies to life in the 21st century.

There are 55 members of this Board of Lectureship living in 15 different countries; all are experienced practitioners of Christian Science healing. They are prepared not only to talk about the healing aspect of this Science but also how it affects every other area of life. They are happy to talk to any kind or size of audience interested in hearing about Christian Science and its Discoverer.
