Okay. If I only had one minute to talk with you about Christian Science, I’d want to tell you what a difference it can make in your life. I’d tell you what it’s done for me. I’d want you to know that even though I attended the Christian Science Sunday School, I had to make Christian Science my own—I had to understand how it worked and then prove it for myself.
After college I spent a year in Vietnam as a Navy Supply Officer. Then I spent ten years in Hollywood as a freelance script writer. (Not sure which was more hazardous.) There were also stints driving a school bus, working in the family business, and making sandwiches in a restaurant. For the past twenty years, I’ve been producing media for various departments at The Mother Church.
No, I haven’t seen it all; but I’ve seen enough to know that there isn’t any situation that won’t turn around or improve when you apply Christian Science to it. I don’t think anyone should go through life without at least knowing about this radical yet practical way of thinking.
So, that’s what I would try to tell you. In one minute. Okay, maybe I’ll need a little longer. And I’ll talk fast.
