Alessandra P. Colombini, CSB
A member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship
After graduating from Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil, Alessandra was employed as a social worker. She taught training courses to volunteers of several non-profit organizations. This gave her experience both in teaching and public speaking. However, she finally concluded that spiritual ignorance was the main cause of the problems these organizations endeavored to alleviate, and the best service she could render to mankind was to help fight that ignorance. This prompted her to devote her time to the public practice of Christian Science, which she had first learned about when starting college.
For many years now she has been a full-time Christian Science practitioner. As an authorized teacher of this Science, she gives a yearly course to students interested in learning to practice this metaphysical system of healing.
As a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, Alessandra has spoken to many diverse audiences: students, prison inmates, environmentalists, parents, teachers, ecumenical groups, and the general public. She has given lectures on Christian Science throughout Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. In her lectures she explains how this Science is an effective help in mastering health and financial problems, overcoming fear and limitations in everyday life, and improving family and work relationships.
A native of Italy, she has lived in São Paulo, Brazil, all her adult life. For many years now she has been active in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, in that city.
Alessandra is fluent in English, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
