What makes you feel on fire? For me, it’s healing! And sharing with people how Christian Science can enable anyone to heal with scientific certainty—whether they’re Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, or Buddhist or even if they’ve rejected religion!

That’s because I’ve witnessed through four generations how this universal Science of Christ heals like nothing else can! The woman who discovered it, Mary Baker Eddy, said it enables each of us to be our own physician.

I’ve certainly had a lot of opportunities to test it in my life—as a child when I was quickly healed when I prayed for myself after being stung by hundreds of bees and as a teenager studying in a foreign country when I was falsely imprisoned and then abducted by a man who wanted to rape me. Christian Science taught me that divine Love never abandons us but enables us to heal hatred and violence.

As a young woman performing professionally as a harpist and dancer and also competing in sports, I discovered we don’t have to accept injuries as inevitable and that fear can’t inhibit us. When I was teaching in the inner-city schools of Chicago, Christian Science enabled me to bring out the best in my students. When I was an attorney specializing in criminal, juvenile, and domestic litigation, it enabled me to challenge injustice, prejudice, and red tape. It was entirely through prayer that I overcame barriers in establishing a rehabilitation program for women prisoners and their children.

My travels to other continents, especially Africa, to share this healing Science have shown me how God’s love embraces every single one of us—no one is left out. Watching how God’s mothering has given my daughter courage and vision is such an inspiration. For me, Christian Science is the Science of our infinite capacity for good—right here, right now!
