Suzanne Riedel found Christian Science when she was in college and faced a life-threatening emergency. She was quickly healed through Christian Science and experienced a closeness to God that she’d been searching for. This turned her to the study and practice of Christian Science, and very soon she was healing others.

After marrying, Suzanne balanced being a mom with a career as her five children were growing up. She taught English, history, and math in secondary schools for 20 years, earning a graduate degree at the same time. She was a master teacher, a workshop presenter for state education offices, and a facilitator and teacher of gifted students. Her involvement in academics at the same time she and her husband were raising an active family became a proving ground for what she was learning in Christian Science.

Suzanne has a lifelong love of music—singing, playing piano and organ, even serving for several years as chimer for The Mother Church in Boston. After her children graduated from college, Suzanne worked for six years in the office of the Christian Science Committee on Publication in Boston. Part of her role there was conducting workshops in the United States and abroad.

She has spoken to a variety of audiences, including those in prison and detention center settings, shelters, and retirement centers as well as youth. She is a Christian Science practitioner and teacher, helping people explore their right to a full, productive, and joyful life.
