Growing up in the segregated society of South Africa, Linda’s perceptions of identity and justice were challenged by the racial labeling that emphasized difference and categorized even an individual’s life purpose and expectations of achievement according to physical characteristics. The country’s political isolation, the little known religion of Christian Science that was her family’s and the extreme shyness of her own nature, all contributed to her longing for a sense of unity, safety and acceptance. Today as a full-time practitioner and teacher of Christian Science she has all that and more!

The journey to this joyous position included both privileged opportunities and demanding challenges through which her love of God and His divine Science proved to be an unfailing compass, guide and protector. The loss of both her parents impelled her into a profound relationship with God as true Father-Mother of all. An abiding spiritual sense of home and an appreciation of the universal nature of man’s true identity were gained through the demands of traveling and living abroad with her husband and three children.

As a remedial facilitator and educationist, Linda worked internationally with all age groups, cultures and races from different strata of society —from toddlers in children’s homes to CEO’s of companies. She repeatedly witnessed the advantage brought to her work by her growing spiritual understanding. Often this resulted in healing where psychologists and social workers had abandoned all hope. She found that even in the darkest situations—such as street children in shelters or gangsters in prison—in the light of Christian Science no one is trapped as a victim without a choice. No humanly imposed ‘label’ is permanent or even valid. Today she is proving this to be just as true of the dark threats of physical disease, financial lack, accident, crime, climatic disaster, etc.

Linda looks forward to sharing with her lecture audiences that which has always been an integral part of her life—and her great joy and love —the liberation and dominion that comes from knowing the presence of God through the truth that is Christian Science!
